The February 13 will start from the spaceport of Kourou in French Guyana the carrier VEGA. Vitrociset is general contractor to ESA for the Ground Segment of the VEGA launcher located

at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG).
After having coordinated all stages of development, assembly and testing, Vitrociset is now responsible for operations on the ground segment of the launch campaign VV01 - LARES (qualification flight), officially began on 7 November 2011 with the arrival of the P80 (first stage of VEGA) in its integration site.

The first of his series, the new Vega launcher, made by 40 European companies, is the flagship of the Italian space industry. VEGA is a program funded by the European Space Agency which Italy contributes, through the Italian Space Agency, with about 70% of the total cost. The launch of the new carrier will complete the european offer of launchers ensuring the orbit of satellites up to 1500 kilograms.
