The PISQ (Fire Test Range at Salto Di Quirra) command and control room is formed by numerous devices needed for the real-time viewing of trajectories of tracked targets, the planning and configuration of operation missions and air and naval traffic monitoring in the area surrounding the PISQ. The operational activity is performed by suitable Operational Consoles (Common Operational Picture) of the Command and Control room through which a number of operators are authorised to perform functions as envisaged by the mission operation sequences. All operational workstations in the room are powered by the central Tracking&Fusion system acquiring the information from a high number of sensors of different types (deployed in the operation scenario), and then computing, triangulating and ultimately correlating them with state-of-the-art data-fusion algorithms. The full computation process - inclusive of data acquisition, fusion and viewing - occurs at a frequency of 100 Hz in hard real-time mode. Workstations are configured differently depending on the individual task to be performed:
The various workstations can interoperate and this gives the operators of the Command and Control room the opportunity to cooperate. Download the brochure (PDF, 538 KB, italian version)
