 ATRES-Light is an Air Traffic Simulator that we define “light” for the reason it running on notebook.
ATRES-L is an ATC simulation platform aiming to provide an advanced self-training system to the ATC students and controllers. ATRES-L provides the components of a complex ATC system, including an air traffic generator integrated with a FDP system, an HMI with the standard functionalities of the Controller Working Position and the new voice recognizer and evaluation functionalities.
The ATRES-L provides the new voice commands feature in order to simulate the real operational condition without the pseudo-pilot necessary for aircraft navigation. This functionality allows the student to communicate by voice the order to the aircraft; the order will be recognized and executed and a synthetic voice will reply to the order in the proper way.
The voice recognition module and the vocal synthesis module are compliant with the ICAO standard phraseology.
ATRES-L in Dual Mode configuration is currently used by ENAV in more than 10 airports for specific APP training.
Technical data and performances.
ATRES-L is developed using high level programming languages as JAVA and ADA95; this allows the software portability on several platforms and operational systems.
ATRES-L is able to simultaneously manage 300 radar tracks and 300 flight plans.
