CONSIP – Contract for the supply of IP-Enabled telephone systems, telephone exchanges and devices and terminals connected by Avaya technology; provision of dedicated technical support for telephone exchanges pre-installed at public offices (2008-2010).

In view of a broad revision of its functional organisation, the Italian Public Administration is making a significant effort for the renewal of the technological infrastructure in support of its institutional activities. A special focus was put on the Information & Communication Technology and the renewal of information exchange processes– whether within the PA or between the PA, citizens and enterprises.

Another objective of the PA is to optimise and rationalise management/operating costs.
The Contract signed with Vitrociset S.p.A. befits this context as it targets the deployment of a modern private telephone network offering immediate functional advantages for the PA internal and external users. The solution offered will reflect technological evolution and will help migrate to highly advanced IP services – with the further characteristic of being open to future upgrades in view of a consolidated and integrated telephone network powered by a combination of transmission and switching techniques as recommended by the most recent regulatory measures.

The Contract’s function is to act as a driver of technological innovation, while providing the PA with IP-enabled systems.  
The scope of the Contract also includes the provision of maintenance systems including corrective, perfective and preventive maintenance – with maintenance tasks suitably designed to avoid malfunctions in installed systems.
