 Today’s operational needs require closer connections between Aeronautical Information and Air Traffic Service to make data easily and timely available to all ATM users.
The Aeronautical Information Service System (AISS) is the Vitrociset system for automatic acquisition and distribution to ATC personnel of AIS and ATS information. AISS is the result of the Vitrociset deep experience in development of systems for ATC information management. AISS enables a centralized management of support information sources, providing an easy and fast access to support data, shortening the information circulation time and allowing all the ATC center personnel to access the most recent version of each information. Operating in an internet/intranet environment, the system is based on a state-of-the-art platform, both hardware and software, with an easy and friendly user-interface in graphical environment based on a standard WEB Browser interface.
Designed and developed with an object-oriented approach, AISS satisfies the customer needs from small airport to ATM national authority, allowing the possibility of future extensions and expansions. The architecture is fault tolerant in a cluster configuration. The modularity and the web standard compliance of AISS allows running the system on a variable number of different hardware configurations. The system has been developed in accordance with the recommendations from ICAO and EUROCONTROL as the AIXM 5 standard data format.
