Vitrociset

The AOIS system enables the acquisition and distribution of aeronautical information for air traffic services, mainly for flight planning processes.  Specifically, information concerns:

• Flight plans;
• NOTAM (NOtice To Air Men); 
• Route Flow restrictions, as well as take-off and landing slot attribution;  
• Meteorological data for support in air navigation and flight safety.
  

Vitrociset is in charge of AOIS Sw migration to web platform. Such activity implies solving some fundamental problems in order to make the transition process to the new system as trouble-free as possible for users and those in charge of running the system.

The web-based AOIS system allows for:

• standardized and easy management of web-based AOIS Data Processing Centre;
• Easier training of ENAV personnel on the new system;
• Easier transition phase from current IBM Mainframe system to the new Web/Linux-based AOIS;
• Secure web-based management of ENAV’s intranet users, as well as external organizations/users such as the Italian Air Force and CAI-Alitalia.
